Lani Woods is a mom of two, athlete, adventurer, and healthcare professional. She is also the survivor of an impoverished childhood, depression, and a toxic and abusive relationship. Through it all she recognized in herself an innate resiliency and has turned to physical fitness individually and as a bonding tool for her family. During her recent recovery from a complex leg injury, Lani launched the Unrelenting Humans podcast to celebrate and empower other athletes by sharing their stories of fortitude in sport and life. She is also establishing a non-profit for athletes in underserved communities. Growing up in poverty, without resources and activities to promote physical and mental health, has inspired Lani’s work to provide access to sports as a means to help more humans reach their full life potential.

LANI WOODS

Lani Woods is a native of Los Angeles, CA and single mother of two very active, competitive kids. Lani has a diverse background in health care and health services. Her love for the health industry started from her early years and she has worked as an EMT, Care Giver, and in Diagnostic Medical Imaging.

After suffering a complex leg injury, Lani started a podcast called Unrelenting Humans to empower other athletes to share their stories of resilience and how they cope mentally when living with injuries and other impairments.

Lani is also establishing a non-profit to help the athletes in the underserved communities have access to resources they need to participate in sports to stimulate their full potential in the sport, community, life and intestinal fortitude.
